William Collins graduated with high honors from Central Michigan University with a major in Finance. Bill participated in the StockTrak program while studying finance at CMU. StockTrak is a portfolio simulation tool for universities to help students get familiar with real market data, buying and selling securities, and managing a portfolio in a controlled environment. Bill won the StockTrak program in both his junior and senior year.
Bill's background is that he is the youngest of three children and is known as a C.O.D.A. (Child of Deaf Adult). Eleven of his sixteen immediate family members are deaf. Bill is fluent in American Sign Language and many of his immediate family members went to the Michigan School for the Deaf. He primarily works with the deaf communities in many states across the country in assisting them in meeting their financial objectives.
With over 27 years of experience, Bill's goal is to help clients navigate the complex and ever-changing retirement and investment landscape. His main passion for planning is focused on retirement planning, estate planning, portfolio management, and asset allocation. Bill has his series 7, series 66, insurance and variable licenses.
Bill currently resides in Birmingham, Michigan. He is a proud father of his daughter Skylar and enjoys attending her volleyball games. In addition, he is also a member of Red Run Country Club and enjoys playing golf, boating, traveling, and spending time with his family.
